Spicy & Tasty Chicken Biriyani
Biriyani is loved to eat by everyone. Because of the fine and variety of spices we add to prepare it. The nice aroma from the spices and the rice we choose to make the biriyani, makes it too good in taste..
I cooked the chicken separately with the same masala (spices/ ground masala), and adding it to the rice, so the chicken will be tasty, while eating the biriyani..
Ingredients:
1/2 kg Jeeraga Samba rice (wash and soak in water for 20 - 30 mins)
3 Onions fine chopped
3 Tomatoes (big pieces)
2 hand full of Garlic
4 inch Ginger
5 or 6 Green chillies
Mint leaves - a hand full
Coriander leaves - a hand full
Oil or Ghee (5 tbsp)
Spices:
4 Cinnamon Sticks
8 or 10 Cloves
2 tsp Fennel seeds
2 tsp Poppy seeds (soaked in 3 tsp of water)
6 or 8 Cashewnuts
2 Star Anise
2 Mace (jathi pathiri in Tamil)
2 Black stone flower (Kalpasi in Tamil)
4 Cardamom
2 or 4 Marati moggu (Kapok buds)
Each spice have its own goodness.. Good for our health too..
