Module 6 lecture 2 The Uncertainty Principle
Module 6, Lecture 2, Uncertainty, Physics 253 Quantum mechanics, Georgetown University, Fall 2020
In this video, we follow the Robertson approach to determine the uncertainty relation between two Hermitian operators that do not commute. We discuss how this result compares to the spread of the measurement values about the average value for an operator (the fluctuations about the mean). We also describe a generic interpretation of the uncertainty principle.
