Spinal cord injury exercises and walking skills

Diagnosis: PARAPERESIS WITH LEFT SIDE FOOT DROP.
History: He had a left foot swelling and took medical treatment on July 2020. On 26.12.2020, got L5, S1 disc prolapse cauda equina compression with left foot drop and underwent T12 decompression, posterior spine stablilisation T11-PELD on 31.12.2020 at Hospital. Got drug allergy and managed. On 16 FG indwelling catheter. Walks using walker, LS corset and left soft AFO. Got admitted here for rehabilitation.

Treatment and Prognosis:
Walking With left AFO needs supervision, uses single elbow crutch for stairs and community ambulation. Electrical stimulation for left dorsiflexors. Core&trunk strengthening, upper limb with 4kg dumbbell, lower limb with 3kg cuff, cycling and standing balance exercises taught. Back care and Home program advised.

Urologist taught self intermittent catheterisation 4th hourly using 12FG nelcath. Review urologist after 6weeks and to monitor BP/RBS for the need of medical management.
