Alexander Gine - painter, graphic artist. He received his primary education at the Imperial Academy of Arts, which he attended with I. I. Shishkin. In 1854–1856 he studied at the Moscow School of Music and Art of A. N. Mokritsky. In 1856 he moved to St. Petersburg, where he studied in the class of landscape painting of the IAH with S. M. Vorobyev as a free-coming student. In 1857, together with Shishkin, P.P. Dzhogin and E.G. Oznobishin, he worked in the town of Dubki near Sestroretsk.
In 1878, for the paintings “The Storm on Valaam Island”, “Rain. View from the vicinity of Gatchina "and" Night. Spring flood of the Volga ”was awarded the title of academician of landscape painting. In the same year, Ginet's works were exhibited at the World Exhibition in Paris.
