Abe's successor likely to be senior 'legacy politician' in ruling Liberal Democratic Party: Analyst
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has announced his resignation over health concerns. He said he did not want his health to get in the way of decision making and apologised to the people for failing to complete his term in office. Assistant Professor Michael Cucek from Temple University shared his views on whether Mr Abe's departure could threaten the stability of Japan politics, and the candidates the ruling Liberal Democratic Party could choose to succeed Mr Abe.
