Boeing says two 'distinct manufacturing issues' found in some 787 Dreamliner jets

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing said it has found two "distinct manufacturing issues" in the fuselage of the 787 Dreamliner jet. It has told airlines to remove the planes from service for repairs to be done. Eight 787 Dreamliners, which have already been delivered, are affected by both issues. The Dreamliner has been plagued by a series of teething problems after its commercial debut in 2011, including a global shutdown due to battery-related issues. In 2018, there was a problem over faulty engine blades.
