Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit 10k time trial | Running faster?

The Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit 10k time trial was a huge success, I did run faster in this shoe! I ran faster than I expected to be honest. The Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit is a fascinating running shoe to get your hands on. This shoe is designed for fast racing! The shoe is simply designed for speed over the half marathon and full marathon distances. Eliud Kipchoge recently wore the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit in his world record marathon race, in Berlin. What an amazing athlete he is, and what an amazing running shoe the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit is to help Eliud Kipchoge break the world marathon record, and by a lot of time too! Kipchoge is a real inspiration, ever since his sub 2-hour attempt in Italy a couple years ago. It will be very interesting to see how the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit will progress in future running shoe releases. In today's daily vlog, I took this shoe out for a fast spin down the Platte River concrete bike path. I was able to hold a 5:19 per mile pace for a 10k time trial on an absolutely beautiful day. The Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit running shoe performed very well. My first mile was 4:58, and from then I went to 5:18 miles for the rest of the 10k time trial in the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit. From the beginning of the 10k time trial in the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit, to the end, the running shoe felt like it gave me a nice return on energy, and therefore improved my running economy. Supposedly the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit running shoe improved marathon running times for Strava runners by 3-4%. The New York Times published an article recently on Kipchoge's world marathon record in Berlin, and gathered data from Strava runners, advancing the Nike claim that the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit will improve your marathon running time by 3-4%. Is that a true claim by Nike and this New York Times article? At this point, I would lean in that direction for the improvement of running economy. The New York City marathon, the Chicago marathon, and the Boston Marathon will all be filled with runners who will wear the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit. I'm really fascinated to see how Adidas, Reebok, Hoka, and Brooks responds to this new advancement in running shoe technology. Isn't it exciting to be a runner this day in age with the incredible advancement in running shoe technology? I am impressed with the competition that is taking place within the running shoe competitors. Competition on the track, and on the roads, and within running shoe companies is good for all of us runners who want to race faster in 2018 and into 2019. The Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% Flyknit just pushed the bar much higher for marathon running shoes moving forward. I believe it is finally time that I put my hat in the ring for about with a fast road marathon race in 2019. On that note, can you share below in the comments any ideas for flat, fast, sea level marathon races? I'm really foreign to the marathon distance, as I have focused more so on ultra running in the past 5 years. With your help and support and ideas, I know I can get to the starting line fit and ready to race a fast marathon race in 2019, and most likely in this shoe, the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit.
