9 penny with DR plate
This is another 9 penny collimator test, but this time by request using a DR plate instead of CR or film. Normally we make a double exposure, once with the collimator field in line with the gap between two pennies, and a second to include everything so that outside the field measurements can be made. However, as we will show a DR system can be used successfully because the off-focus radiation coupled with the increased sensitivity of the DR plate will make the second exposure unnecessary! Plus, with most DR software measuring tools are included which makes checking distances a breeze!
