On the scene: Police shot in Mint Hill downtown area

WCNC Charlotte reporter Siobhan Riley is on the scene where a shootout between Mint Hill police officers and a now-deceased suspect took place.

Two Mint Hill Police officers were critically injured, officials confirmed. A man, who allegedly pulled out a gun, was shot and killed.

Mint Hill Police said the officers responded to a child custody exchange at Edible Arrangements on Matthews-Mint Hill Road when the shootout occurred.
