Blood sugar is so much more than just what you eat!!!
What raises blood sugar the most?
We know carbs raise blood sugar. That’s what @jason fung brought to our attention. The higher on the glycemic index, the more it spikes blood sugar.
Many people on keto completely remove carbs, and replace that macro with protein.
But in order to stimulate autophagy, you have to bring protein down below 20 grams.
Even though protein doesn’t spike blood sugar as high as carbs, it still has an impact.
The keto diet is low carb, MODERATE protein, and high in good fats.
Stress also plays a big part. It can actually raise your blood sugar the MOST.
If you don’t have tools to help your stress, balancing your blood sugar is going to be very difficult.
We know the cell heals, and the mitochondria control metabolism. That’s the part of the cell that creates energy.
It’s not just food at heals the mitochondria and cells.
Food is important, so is eating good oils, and staying on top of stress.
Heart rate variability is a good way to know if you’re balancing going from a stressed out state to a relaxed one.
The human nervous system is made to have spikes of stress. But in this day and age, stress is so high that we’re locked in freeze mode.
A lot of you are in freeze mode. A lot of teenagers are also stuck in freeze mode.
Just like how you have a toolbox for fasting and eating, you need a toolbox to manage stress.
