The Ultraviolet Catastrophe - explained | Rayleigh-Jeans Law derivation
The Rayleigh-Jeans law proposed by Lord Rayleigh in 1900 became a cornerstone for a theory that can suffiently explain the nuances of Black Body radiation. Its flawed predictions are historically called the "Ultraviolet Catastrophe". The Advent of Quantum Mechanics was a direct consequence of this false prediction, ultimately pioneered by Max Planck, Albert Einstein amongst others.
