ROAD TRIP FROM MHAMID TO MERZOUGA, Casa Bouaid Berbère Camper Park, Msissi Drâa Tafilalet, Morocco

ATTENTION VIEWERS: This is NOT a typical appliance repair video! While I usually focus on repairs, I'm sharing a breathtaking travel experience from my "Europe & North African busman's holiday."

Today I’m visiting Casa Bouaid which is a calming campsite located between Alnif and Rissani on the N17 highway in Morocco. Casa Bouaid is a family run campsite offering peace, stunning sunsets, and authentic Moroccan hospitality.

With space for 7 to 8 campers it provides fresh water, hot showers and clean European style toilets. The owners grow their own fruits and vegetables serving delicious Tagines and breakfasts.

Nearby, you will also find mineral rich mountains with quartz like crystals. I've found a stibnite (antimony sulfide) so definitely worth exploring if you have a few hours to spare.

Abdul, Hassan, and Rajid took me on a tour of their crops. They grow dates, wheat, carrots, olives, almonds, figs, and even some oranges although the trees require a lot of water. There’s also a small honey production, fresh mint and garlic growing nearby. Almost everything they cook in their Tagines and couscous comes straight from their land.

If you're doing the Agadir to Merzouga run or the other way, Casa Bouaid is a great place to stop for a chill out and some real Moroccan hospitality.
