Whether you're working on a website, mobile app, or branding materials, understanding colour psychology and harmony can make your designs more impactful.

The first step in building a colour palette is choosing a primary colour that represents the brand’s values. Every colour evokes certain emotions and perceptions, so selecting the right one is crucial. Using a colour psychology chart can help match colours to specific adjectives and brand identities. For example, bright red conveys energy and excitement, while green represents growth and balance. If designing for a skincare brand focused on happiness and vibrancy, a warm orange might be the perfect choice.

Once the primary colour is set, the next step is finding complementary secondary colours. These help highlight important elements and create visual balance.
