A pig and a bear. Both have a tale to tell.
Hi, and thank you for watching my video and staying to read the description. I really appreciate it. These two moneyboxes are vintage-style ceramic money boxes with playful, whimsical designs:
So let's start with the
Teddy Bear Money Box
- It features a brown teddy bear wearing blue overalls and a red scarf, holding a small doll next to a colorful block-patterned base.
- Similar pieces are often handmade or hand-painted, dating from the late 20th century (1970s–1990s), and are popular as nursery decor or collectables. Some comparable models are listed as unbranded or from small craft producers, with prices typically ranging from a few to tens ķof dollars/pounds.
The Pig Money Box
- This depicts a stylized "girl pig" with blonde hair, rosy cheeks, a teal polka-dot skirt, and red shoes. Its design leans into retro "kitsch" aesthetics common in mid-to-late 20th-century ceramicware.
- Similar lady pig-themed money boxes are found in vintage collections; while no exact match was identified, comparable pieces include hand-painted ceramics from the 1960s–1980s, with some rare vintage models fetching higher prices for their uniqueness.
Both are functioning moneyboxes with a slot (typically on the back or top) and a rubber/plastic stopper at the base to retrieve your savings.
I really love these two and hope you do too.
So that's all for today. But before I go, I have to tell you how much I appreciate you dropping in. I wouldn't be still doing this if it wasn't for your support. So till next time, thank you for watching. Drop by anytime. Take care and stay safe. Xx love Pam xX. .Xx ĺ❤️ xX.
