This delicious recipe is a traditional Bulgarian style cheese pie.
Its named Banitsa, meaning cheese borek or cheese pie.
It's made with a creamy and delicious yogurt, egg, Bularian feta cheese mix and spices. Then is gently spread out all over the buttered filo dough and rolled over and over.
Not only that is so delicious, its also beautiful. When it's baked and all cooled off.. you will enjoyable and yummy it is, and trust me lol you will go for seconds ;}

INGREDIENTS...
NOTE ... When you're folding and rolling the first fillo roll for the center, make sure to gently and losely roll it.
Along with the rest of the wraps while adding on until there are no more fillo sheets left.
****** You will need a 10"x 3" inch round baking pan ******
1 Box + 2 to 3 extra ZerGut brand Fillo Dough sheets - #9 thick / box contains from 10 -12 / total of sheets needed are 15 to 16 in total / leave at room temperature over night in closed box.
1 3/4 c crumbled Bulgarian Feta Cheese / draind the liquid completely with paper towels as shown on video
1 1/4 c Greek Yogurt / ( 8 oz.)
3 large Eggs / room temperature
1 1/2 Tbsp. Butter Mix from below
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda / DO NOT
use more then the measurements given
1 1/2 Tbsp. Roasted Sesame Seeds
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper / or as much as you like
1 tsp. dry Oregano
1/2 to 1 tsp. Garlic Powder / more or less
1/2 tsp. dry Mint / more or less
Salt if desired to taste
🧈 mix together the ghee and butter 🧈
warm it up in the microwave oven.
1/3 c Clarified Butter /ghee
1 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
