Easter egg decorating with a straw - Czech Cookbook

Marcela Hrabovská is a Czech professional Easter egg decorator with straw technique. She is also my mom's cousin. She received a special award from Governor of South Moravia for Master of traditional hand crafts for South Moravia region. It takes her up to 16 hours to decorate one egg and 800 - 1000 hand cut pieces of straw, which she glues on each egg. She has to glue each piece with absorbent part of the straw. It amazes me she can tell which side that is since those pieces are so tiny. If she glues it with non absorbent part it would fall down next day. Video shows her work on a quail egg. Her Easter straw eggs are part of Czech heritage and are kept in museums. Enjoy her amazing work!
