Last Dive of the Trip ~ We Made it Home!

This has been the most incredible trip, and exactly what we needed after a long year of hardship. When Pilgrim passed away in June, we were lost. We felt ourselves melt into depression over the loss of our best friend and family member. We told ourselves we needed to take a vacation, get a change of scenery, do *something* different because we were starting to associate the home we've created with the feeling of suffering. Finally one day we woke up and said, let's just do it. It was a couple days before our 9th wedding anniversary and we figured we could get the truck looked at and road trip ready by then. So we hit the road. We visited 27 states, camped under the stars, ate some delicious food, fell more in love with each other and with ourselves. We made it home inspired. Still healing, but seeing the positive. Motivated to seek out a life we love. This trip has helped us in more ways than we probably even realize after only being home a couple days.
