Some of the most iconic vehicles in film include the modified DeLorean that was used as a time machine in Back to the Future and its two hit sequels. The DeLorean has become better known for its appearance in the films than it is for its own unique design. Other films that took real-life vehicle designs and ended up making them more iconic than ever include The Love Bug and 1969’s The Italian Job. The Love Bug featured a 1963 Volkswagen Bug that was actually alive, and The Italian Job helped popularize the 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S 1275.
Finally, there have been plenty of iconic vehicles that made their debut on television series, including the vehicle driven by the titular monster family in The Munsters. George Barris, who also designed the Batmobile used in the 1960s series Batman, designed the vehicle. Join Facts Verse as we take a look at the most iconic cars in film and television history.
