What is the Broad Autism Phenotype?

Sometimes also referred to as the broader autism phenotype, the broad autism phenotype is a concept developed by researchers to explain and explore the occurrence of higher rates of autistic traits in family members of autistic people. We'll go into what a phenotype is, what the broad autism phenotype is, why it's interesting to researchers, and the difference between BAP and autism spectrum disorder.
