Pipe Freeze Services

Jeff Maichel owner of https://www.FreezePlugs.com took this video in Wichita, Kansas providing pipeline freeze plug services on a 12" steel pipeline main that contained crude oil for Sem Crude. The pipeline system was prepared by using a pipeline inspection gauge or 'pig' to perform various maintenance operations on a pipeline system also known as 'pigging'. Then water was added to replace the crude oil to help in the freezing process and leak locating.

Jeff says "chasing a leak and it's a pretty minute leak, it's only losing 1/10 of a pound every 20 minutes. Just about Christmas time. Working for Rose Rock, Sem Crude and we will actually find the leak today. We narrowed it down a bit from 12 mile stretch down to 600 feet."
