Philippines Multi-Billion Bridge Project: Approved for Construction

One of the core projects of the Duterte Administration's "Build, Build, Build" Program, are the bridge network aims to provide increased inter-connectivity in the Philippines. The following are the Bridges that are under construction, and in advance stages for construction, with the approval of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

It will be 32.15 kilometers long and will cross over the Manila Bay. The four-lane bridge will connect the towns of Mariveles, Bata-an and Naic, Cavite. The bridge will consist of two main navigation bridges.
The starting point will be located in Barangay Alas-asin near the Mariveles Freeport Area, then 2 cable-stayed bridges called the North Channel Bridge (main span of 400 meters) and South Channel Bridge (main span of 900 meters) will be constructed, before terminating in Barangay Timalan Bal-sahan, Na-ic, Cavite, with the marine bridges standing in water as deep as 50 meters. The Detailed Design Engineering Phase of the project is expected to last 15 months.

Going to the Central Visayas, in Central Philippines, the biggest bridge project is the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CC Lex), also known as the Cebu–Cordova Bridge is a toll bridge expressway under-construction in Metro Cebu, Philippines which will link Cebu City and Cordova.
The bridge will span 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) and will be the longest and tallest bridge in the Visayas, surpassing the San Juanico Bridge in Leyte and Samar and the Candaba Viaduct in N-Lex. It is to be designed by the Spanish firms Carlos Fernandez Casado (CFC) and SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas, while the local firm DCCD Engineering Corp and the Danish firm COWI will be the owner's Engineer. The bridge is being built by a joint venture between Spanish firm ACCIONA, and Philippine firms FB and DMCI Connecting Cebu City and Cordova, the 27-meter-wide (89 ft) bridge is meant to serve an alternate route serving the Mactan Cebu International Airport, serving at least 40,000 vehicles daily.

Going to Southern Philippines in the island of Mindanao, the flagship project of Panguil Bay Bridge. Panguil Bay Bridge is a proposed 3.77 km (2.34 mi) bridge which will connect Tangub, Misamis Occidental and Tubod, Lanao del Norte. The bridge when completed will become the longest water-spanning bridge in Mindanao. The Department of Public Work Highways (DPWH) are now conducting a geotechnical survey to finalize the design of the P7.375-billion Bridge. The final design of the Bridge will be ready December this year with actual construction expected to begin early next year.
Panguil Bay Bridge is a realization of the promise to make Filipinos even more connected by building a mega bridge that will provide convenient inter-island travel in the archipelagic topography of Northern Mindanao. Through the Panguil Bay Bridge, land travel between Tangub City, Misamis Occidental and Tubod, Lanao del Norte is expected to be reduced from two and a half hours to just seven minutes. The project is funded by a loan agreement between the Philippine government and Korean Export Import Bank.

The marine portion of the crossing is approximately 1.6 km long with a varying seabed depth up to 40 m deep.
