Revisiting Route 66 Begin/End signs in Chicago

In late September 2024 I came back to the historic Begin and End signs of Route 66, found at Jackson and Adams Avenues, respectively, when crossing Michigan Avenue. A new historical marker was installed near the intersection of Adams and Michigan by the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity and the Choose Chicago tourist group. (This is one of four different markers erected by them in 2024)

I also show you the "later" eastern terminus of Route 66 as it ended at Lake Shore Drive and Jackson Avenue beginning in 1938.
