I Ran the Kingston Loop Line

London Waterloo - one of the busiest railway stations in the UK served primarily by South Western Railway.

The railway line was meant to continue further into the city with all additional amenities like a Sorting Office at London Waterloo being temporary. Given the station's huge popularity, it was later expanded, temporary amenities became permanent and at one point welcomed international services.

But how does one accidentally become a London Terminus station.

In Day 8 of running the London Rail Map, we're still tackling the South Western Railway; uncovering disused viaducts, National Rail tattoos and... the Russian influence behind Vauxhall. This time we're starting in Barnes, calling at: Putney; Wandsworth Town; Clapham Junction; Queenstown Road; Vauxhall; and London Waterloo. The route was 14.31km - more info can be found on my Strava.
