DAY 46.

ELIZABETH LINE.

SLOUGH - LANGLEY - IVER - WEST DRAYTON - HAYES & HARLINGTON - HEATHROW TERMINAL 4 - HEATHROW TERMINAL 5 - HEATHROW TERMINALS 2 & 3

In Day 46 of RUNDERGROUND, I was welcomed by running nearly 35km during one of the hottest days of the year so far. Not really ideal! I talk a bit about some of the hardships along the way - maybe you can learn from some of the mistakes I made if you plan on doing this!

I left my house at about 6am so I could aim to leave Slough for around 7:30am just so that I wasn't exposed during the hottest part of the day - always thinking. Next time, if I have a long run that coincides with hot weather, I'd absolutely bring a 2/3L water reservoir with me - my 500ml bottle of water was nowhere NEAR enough. It could have been potentially dangerous so please don't make the same mistake as me!

With that aside, this route today incorporated the beautiful sights of the Grand Union Canal, Cranford Country Park and even the perimeter of Heathrow Airport which was surprisingly pleasant given the adverse weather.
