BF Avery A Moved Under Roof

For the first time in a few years, the BF Avery Model A is moved into a freshly made spot in the lean-to to await its turn in the shop. BF Avery began building tractors in the 1930's...actually they designed one and sub contracted Cletrac tractors to build it. Cletrac was essentially Cleveland Tractor Company shortened into the shorter name. They sold the Cletrac Avery's for about ten years with some other letter designation, then started producing them at their own facility and the first model they built on their own was the Model A in the early 1940's.
The funny thing was they continued to sell them as Cletrac's and picked up Montgomery Wards catalog store as a customer and sold them through mail order as the Montgomery Wards Twin-Row !! Now some of the years might be off a little but for the most part, that's the cliff notes version of this little tractor. Oh yeah, in the early 1950's, (51 or 52) they either merged with or were purchased by Minneapolis Moline. Beyond that is nothing but a guess for me. I just don't know any more, but they did make a couple other models though.
