MOVING A KITCHEN TO ANOTHER ROOM | Move Or Improve Your Home, Adding An Island To A Kitchen, Remodel

These homeowners had to ask that age-old question: Move or Improve? This house had 3 family generations living together, and while there was plenty of space due to the addition that was previously built but the layout was terrible. The biggest issue we had to face in this remodel was the galley size kitchen that was in the front of the home! By moving the kitchen to another room, we were able to add a much needed mudroom space which helped create a true entrance into the home. Doing this also made the rest of the spaces flow naturally into an open concept design. The formal living room turned into the dining room that got a modern refresh by painting the brick fireplace white and some farmhouse inspired decor. The relocated kitchen showcases a large island with seating, two tone cabinetry, and geometric pendants all while still having some of the charming details they loved about the original home!
