MINATAMIS NA SAGING WITH LANGKA AT SAGO GAWIN NATING SAGING CON HIELO

Minatamis na Saging with Langka at Sago, is a Filipino dessert that is fairly easy to make. Basically made with ripe saba banana but in this recipe I used ripe plantain ( platano macho ). Sliced plantain is cooked in a sweet syrup made with brown sugar, water and a bit of vanilla extract. Jackfruit in syrup ( minatamis na langka ) and tapioca pearl ( sago ) are also added in this dessert. Adding shaved ice and evaporated milk will make you a serving of Saging con Hielo, a popular Filipino dessert during summer.

INGREDIENTS:
Minatamis na Saging
- 4 ripe plantains or 9 ripe saba banana, cut diagonally
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups cooked sago ( tapioca pearls )
- 1 cup jackfruit in syrup
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract

Saging con Hielo
- minatamis na saging na may sago at langka
- shaved ice
- evaporated milk
