Basic Multiplication for Kids | Class 1 to 5 Maths |

Multiplication is one of the four basic operations of maths. It is the act of multiplying or paring two numbers to get a final product.

Multiplication is also the result of repeated addition of two numbers.
Multiplication can help us make counting easy. For example, if you want to count a hundred coins of two rupees, you don’t need to keep on adding two till you finish a hundred coins. Rather you could just multiply two into hundred.

Did you know?
The Babylonians were the first to create and use the multiplication table, more than 4000 years ago. They used clay tablets to multiply. Some of these clay tablets have survived till date.
