COVENTRY - AVON CAMPING: A day in the van

We drove to Coventry to a lovely campsite called Avon Camping. It doesn’t have any electric hook-up or showers, but they do collect rain water which is used to support two flushing toilets and a place to wash dishes. There was no marked pitches so you can pretty much just set up wherever you want. It was almost completely empty when we arrived on the Wednesday but quickly filled up on the weekend.

It’s located right next to the river Avon where we could have a lovely swim to cool down during the heatwave. There is a farm shop called Farmers Fayre which we walked to (about 40min each way), where we bought burgers, cheese, bread and wine.

We spent three nights here and the campsite was quiet and very sunny, we would definitely go back!
