Solo Overnight Camping - Ancient Cave - Hammock Camping - Wood Stove Cooking (Day 1)

Solo overnight camping in an amazing place - visiting an ancient cave (hermitage) - hammock camping - wood stove cooking (Day 1). No talking, only peaceful nature sounds. If you want to find out more about all of these and the story behind this video, please read on.
I already told you a bit about the place I visited in the trailer description. If you have not read that yet, you can find it here: https://youtu.be/j29NuMOPdaY
I spent the first part of my day filming and taking photos of the rocky peaks on the profile of the deep blue sky, with pines and birch trees growing from the rocks and hanging over the cliffs. During autumn they look like candles burning incessantly in the stone walls, and maybe they really are candles nature lights in memory of the beautiful people that lived in these caves, their hearts as vast and as deep as the sky, always burning for the One they loved most.
I met someone that had come to visit the place and spoke to him a little bit. He told me the huge tree near the cave I wanted to visit first had collapsed during a big storm. On hearing this news I felt a sharp pain in my heart. I loved that who knows how many hundreds of years old tree. Have so many memories under his wide protective branches. Had planned to film it for you, and capture the most I could of its beauty. But I was too late. He seemed eternal like we sometimes feel we are, and it felt like I will always find him there, waiting for me. As you probably observed I talk about the tree as if he was a person. I feel too close to that tree to limit my way of addressing him to a lifeless "it". This tree probably witnessed so many stories of people that inhabited or visited that place. Listened to their joys and sorrows. I see him as a symbol of old times and traditions. Even though he is now just a pile of dust, lying on the ground, he is still alive in the warm hearts of those who loved him, like all our lost loved ones are still alive in the chambers of our hearts, like the memory of our ancestors, their stories and traditions are still burning inside us.
Because of this, I could not refrain from pondering upon the meaning of life and the passage of time when I visited the first cave. Thoreau seemed to have written the quote I added to the video, especially for that moment I lived there. Very grateful for having discovered this wonderful writer and his work. Big thank you to the one that recommended "Walden" to me. I know he is watching the video. I'll write the quote here again for me and you to read together: “Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it, but while I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains. I would drink deeper; fish in the sky, whose bottom is pebbly with stars. I cannot count one. I know not the first letter of the alphabet. I have always been regretting that I was not as wise as the day I was born.”
So there I was, in front of my beloved tree that had fallen to the ground, looking at him from the stairs of that cave. The fish symbol of eternity watching over me and guarding the entrance of that otherworldly place. It's probably the way things should be...we live in a world of change and decay, but incessantly walk towards and long for eternal Love and for the paradise we have lost, whose memory is deeply rooted in our hearts.
There was once a little Romanian girl that guarded a flock of sheep somewhere on the hills of this beautiful country. A photographer from a faraway country approached that little girl and spoke to her. She told him she wanted to become a huge tree so she could offer shelter to as many little birds as she could. Then the girl called her sheep with a sweet voice: "Come to mama!". I think the little girl was right...what more could you wish than becoming a huge loving tree full of birds. I too wish I could become such a tree.

I hope this video offered you some beautiful and peaceful moments, helped you forget all your worries, and encouraged you to dream and hope for a better life. If you did enjoy it, please leave a comment below. I would love to read it. Thanks for watching!
