ALL IN 2040: Center City Vision Plan Kick Off Event

Charlotte has a 50 + year legacy of intentionality in city building and a strong tradition of creating a downtown plan since the Odell Plan, our first downtown plan, produced in 1966. In a partnership between the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and Charlotte Center City Partners, we will lead a planning effort to establish a new blueprint for Center City growth & development for the next 20 years.

In addition to the Center City 2040 Vision Plan, the City’s Planning Department is simultaneously producing a community wide Comprehensive Plan that will guide how Charlotte grows and invests in our city over the next 20 years. The County will soon begin work on a new county-wide Parks and Recreation Master Plan. These planning efforts are jointly owned and implemented by government, civic and the private sector to build a better, stronger Charlotte for all.
