Tryon Street South FULL Route - Charlotte's Longest Street - Real-Time - Street Drive

Real-time drive down Tryon Street from the University City Area to Steele Creek in Charlotte. Video begins at the Cabarrus County line near Charlotte Motor Speedway and travels southbound through University City, passes near the edge of NoDa, then through Uptown, South End, and Steele Creek before becoming York Rd near the South Carolina border at Lake Wylie. Includes views of the Charlotte Skyline from the north.

Tryon Street is Charlotte main North-South thoroughfare. It serves as a major arterial route for its entirety and serves several neighborhoods such as University City, NoDa, Uptown, South End, and Steele Creek. Tryon provides direct access to or is within one mile of several major Charlotte attractions and/or places of interest including; Bank of America Stadium, Spectrum Arena, Amtrak Station, University of North Carolina Charlotte, Bank of America Corporate Center, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Duke Energy Corporate Center, BB&T Ballpark, and the Discovery Place.

Facts about Tryon Street:
- Tryon Street intersects all of Charlotte's freeways except I-85
- Tryon Street is walkable for almost its entire length. Only a the segment north of I-485 in University City does not have sidewalks.
- Tryon covers a longer distance through Charlotte than both interstate 85 and 77.
- Tryon Street is the only roadway in which a traveler can cross completely through Mecklenburg County without using an interstate highway.
