I'm tired of hiding love as hate shouts so loudly for all to hear and come see. Whenever you see a crowd in an open place, it's someone in trouble - accident, funeral, stealing, lynching etc. But whenever we want to show forth love, we want to hide it as if it's something terrible. I have come to discover that our adversary hates love so much, and will always stir up dissent whenever love shows up. Some jealousy will crop up somewhere, a sneer on lips and even at times daring, open criticism. In this series we show forth open love to Festo and his brother Johnny. Remember their histories? Do you recall this very Johnny with little toes and fingers all engulfed by large jiggers? Do you recall the first time we entered their jigger house and I got bitten by six jiggers which had to be removed from my skin two days later? If you recall that you will agree with me that those many children present in this video wouldn't have dared step in that yard, and their presence in the video is testimony about fruits of love. It was therefore important for them to see Festo and Johnny clad and looking brand new, without forgetting them too (Laurie put in lollipops for everyone). A thing of excellent beauty! Thanks Laurie for being their angel. Thank you for taking me back, over thirty and five years ago, when seeds of love were sowed into my life through toffees, when Ron and Gloria Handison from Evangel University were serving in Kenya as missionaries for the Assemblies of God. It brings tears into my eyes when I remember those times, when there was a lot of poverty and no love from anyone but deaths and dearth and pain were the smells in our grass thatched house. Ron and Gloria lit a fire in my bones that still glows in me to this day.
