RODNEY MORRIS vs TONY ELLIN - Sands Regency 9-Ball Open XXII

Another great match from Semi-Finals of the Sands Regency 9-Ball Open XXII in December 1995, as “The Rocket” Rodney Morris faces “Hurricane” Tony Ellin.

Rodney Morris, 25, was just coming into the prime of his career in 1995, and would go on to win the 1996 US Open 9-Ball Championship and represent Team USA in ten Mosconi Cup events.

Thirty year old Tony Ellin, was a former Sands Regency Open Champion and runner up to Earl Strickland at the 1993 US Open 9-Ball Champion. He was mostly known on tour for his huge break.

Bill Incardona is joined by special guest Tony Annigoni in the booth. Listen late in the match as Incardona invents a new term, “impocketable”.
