Decub Abdomen at the Bucky
Another way to obtain a decubitus view of the abdomen is to perform the exam at the upright (wall) Bucky. This way you may be able to use the AEC, and the Bucky grid will help give you a clearer image. This method also avoids having to move the patient over to the exam table. Be careful when doing this and make sure that the patient is NOT left unattended with the bed rails down!
