Sam knows his stuff! He is a true agronomist and farmer, with more than 55 years of agricultural knowledge and experience, specializing in production agriculture. While many Black-Americans were fleeing agriculture in the 1960s and 1970s, Sam was running to it! He holds two educational degrees in agriculture (Agronomy and Ag Education) and worked for more than 30 years at the United States Department of agriculture's (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service, before retiring in 2019 and becoming a full-time date farmer.
