Kevin Sembrat Anchors Army 4x400m in Patriot League Championships, Army 2nd After 0.15s Photo-Finish

2020 Indoor Patriot League Championships Army Black Knights 4x400m Relay Team:
1st Leg: Cadet Calvin Wetzel (Fr., __)
2nd Leg: Cadet Al-Tarik Samuel (So., VA)
3rd Leg: Cadet Kedrin Jefferson (Jr., TN)
Anchor: Cadet Kevin Sembrat (So., NJ)

Cadet Wetzel, a Plebe (West Point Freshman), started from Lane 6 for the Black Knights, running blind for the first 100m but holding his own and handing off to Cadet Samuel in a tight 2nd-3rd Place with Bucknell, Navy leading.

Cadet Samuel, a Yuk (West Point Sophomore), came out strong in 3rd Place, passing 2nd Place Bucknell after his first lap. Samuel closed the gap on 1st Place Navy and handed off to Cadet Jefferson just a step behind Navy.

Cadet Jefferson, a Cow (West Point Junior), matched 1st Place Navy pace-for-pace during most of the 3rd Leg -- then made his move at his final turn, passing Navy and handing off to Cadet Sembrat in 1st Place!

Army's experienced Anchor, Cadet Sembrat, a Yuk (West Point Sophomore), came out all guns blazing with a 4m 1st Place lead on Navy! Navy's experienced Anchor -- a Senior Midshipman -- matched Army's pace throughout the first lap and made his move at his 5th turn -- aggressively but mistakenly cutting too close to Sembrat in Lane 1 during Navy's attempted aggressive bid to regain 1st Place. Sembrat swiftly and successfully defended Navy's attack with a legal arm movement that drew no flag and kept Navy at bay. 

Everyone thought Navy was done... 
that is, everyone except Navy...

Navy drafted Sembrat in Lane 1 until the final turn. Then Navy whipped out of the final turn into Lane 2 for a final "sneak attack" confrontation, blind to Sembrat's peripheral vision and under cover of the deafening cheers from the crowd in the metal-walled Lehigh Rauch Fieldhouse.

With Sembrat coming in hot for Army's 1st Place Finish, but unaware until the very last moment of the incoming Navy storm, Navy closed the gap inch-by-inch over the final 30m, gaining just enough to cross the Finish Line merely 0.15s ahead of Army -- a jubilant 1st Place for Navy, but a teeth-clenching 2nd Place for Army in the 2020 Indoor 4x400m Patriot League Championship!
