About the Pictures in Motion Film and Television Museum
The Pictures in Motion Film and Television Museum in Perth, Western Australia, is an enthusiastic and friendly group of cinema and television veterans who are not only preserving the equipment used in these industries, but also collect everything associated, be that films, videos, photographs, posters, documentation and the stories about how everything happened and who was involved.
They also provide a wonderful means for veterans to socialise in a free and friendly manner.
Our activities are made known through our web site-
https://www.ammpt.asn.au
A regular newsletter-
https://www.ammpt.asn.au/newsletters/
And a Facebook page-
https://www.facebook.com/groups/563836451045179/
We are currently working towards putting a virtual museum on-line that will feature the museum’s collection. Already, there is a vast amount of information contained in our CinemaWeb, which is the definitive source for information on all cinemas and drive-ins throughout Western Australia.
Our group is always looking for people in the fraternity to become involved. This helps us better tell the stories and give recognition where its due.
There’s also lots of opportunities to volunteer in a wide range of activities, even if that be weekly mingling among veterans at our museum/club house.
Please consider joining our association as we will greatly welcome your much valued support.
