Too Easy! Just take a quick moment to subscribe. And click the bell icon. And you’ll never miss out again.
#1. People.
The local people are well known for being super friendly, open minded and welcoming. People are relaxed, calm and enjoy their life. Making friends becomes easier than ever, which can positively affect your plan to visit or live in Vietnam.
The locals also would love to have an opportunity to practice English with tourists and foreigners. This year, Da Nang is welcoming over 1 million visitors and most of them are international visitors. Many people working in the hospitality industry in Da Nang have a high level of English in order to best serve their international clients.
The best news of all: The government has been issuing e-visa for 80 countries since 2019, which makes it much easier for you to visit Vietnam.
#2. Food.
As of now, there are over 85,000 street food vendors in Vietnam. Each region has its own local dishes. When it comes to a variety of food cultures, Da Nang cannot be ignored.
You can get an amazing meal day or night easily. Like many Vietnamese dishes, Da Nang food is very light and healthy, which comes with a dish of vegetables on the side. They are often made to order in a way that always keeps the food fresh.
The best place for finding good food is local markets and small alleys around the city. If you haven’t done so, watch my other videos on the top Vietnamese dishes.
Some of the dishes you must try in Da Nang includes: “mi quang”, which is Quang noodle, “banh xeo”, which is Vietnamese crispy pancake“, bun cha ca”, which is fish cake noodles soup, “bun mam nem”, which is vermicelli salad with pork and anchovy sauce
#3. Great Sights.
Da Nang has a diversity of natural landscapes, now becoming not only a tourist paradise but also a wonderful settlement place for everyone.
With its magnificent scenery and friendly people, Da Nang has been named in TripAdvisor’s Top 10 Travel Destinations in 2020. Da Nang is the central point connecting three UNESCO World Heritage sites: Hue Citadel, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary.
Thanks to a 60 kilometers coastline, Da Nang owns many beautiful sandy beaches such as My Khe Beach, Lang Co Beach, Bai Chong Beach in Cham Island. Da Nang beach is 1 of 6 the most beautiful beaches in the world according to Forbes.
Not only is Da Nang famous as a beach city, it is also known for Son Tra Peninsula, Marble Mountain, Ba Na Hills with the world’s longest and highest cable car ride. Also located here is the world famous Golden Bridge, supported by a giant hand, which provides a panoramic view of the city.
#4. Great Value For Your Money.
Da Nang city lies in the Midlands of Viet Nam, equally distanced from Ha Noi, the capital city in the North and Ho Chi Minh City, the capital city of the South. This means travel is easy and cheap either by car, train or plane. There are a lot of budget flights connecting Da Nang with other countries around the area and the world.
Due to the exchange rate, the Vietnam Dong (VND) provides great value for your money especially if you’re from the US or Europe. As an example, breakfast, lunch, coffee, a full tank of gas costs only $15. If you prepare the food by yourself using local ingredients, it only costs about $10 a week since the food in Danang is fresh, tasty and nutritious.
The cost of living here is very reasonable and you can live like a king on a modest budget.
Recreational activities such as mountain climbing, skydiving, water skiing, scuba diving are reasonably priced, too.
#5. Rich Culture.
Da Nang has a rich culture that’s over 3,000 years old, which is associated with the Sa Huynh culture. Da Nang was an ancient land of the Cham people originally. There are many majestic palaces, temples that still remain until now such as My Son Cham Ruins, which is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
In the early 1800s, Da Nang gradually developed into a commercial port replacing Hoi An. There are few villages that still have the features of Vietnamese traditional villages such as Cam Ne Mat, which is famous for its handmade mats.
