Not Sure What I Think About These // Utrecht Watercolor Review
Today I am reviewing Utrecht watercolors https://shrsl.com/3uu91
Thanks to Lora for sending me this cute set!

Cherries time-lapse: https://youtu.be/wCyYtfMMx2w
Cherries Real time full art lesson: https://lindsayweirich.teachable.com/p/critique-club
Pros:
Price $10-$13 per 14ml tube
All but Ivory black and Paynes Grey are Vegan
USA Made
Cons:
Lacks flow
Needs more paint to get color payout so you use it up faster and it feels viscous when painting with it.
Bottom Line: These are pretty affordable, I really like the cobalt teal and the yellows. I would recommend trying a few open-stock tubes to see if you like them. They remind me the most of Turner watercolors from Japan and DaVinci watercolors but I prefer those to the Utrecht because they flow better and seem to wear slower but they are comparable otherwise. Turner is a better value tho. These colors don't offer much granulation and the reaction with salt was minimal in my experimentation. I think they are OK but I probably won't purchase more except maybe the cobalt teal. I enjoyed using them with mixed media but found them to be flat and dull on their own.
