Sharkbyte with cheap HDMI goggles 🤔🤔!? More thoughts after weeks of use🤓
Who is sharkbyte for? I think we should stop comparing it to DJI and just see it as an upgrade to analog. I am having a great time with it on whoops and smaller builds where it’s undoubtedly much better than analog! You have to think what is your goal in fpv. I love flying 1s really light builds and I really wish shark byte could work for that! But with my 2s 300mah build I get similar benefits being quiet and efficient so that’s my favourite build for sharkbyte. Certainly it works for larger drones as well and for racing due to the low consistent latency.. I like having a somewhat decent dvr feed i can share on social media and this dvr is loads better than analog.. But I still have a slight feeling that I’m more confident on an analog build! The reception on sharkbyte is better, but when the breakup comes there is a feeling it’s going to just blank out although it usually doesn’t. Maybe I just need to get more used to it.. It gets more sketchy when someone else is flying next to you it seems, i have to investigate that more. Of course i did try changing channels but theres still some weirdness
I’m not trying to sell these hdmi goggles to anyone, it’s just showing what’s possible. Buying a good pair of hdo goggles or similar would be the best way to go! but if you’re on a budget this is a great way to get in with the vrx and air units and still have everything cost less than just the goggles from DJI alone 😎 I had to stick the RX on the goggles with double sided tape. The goggles feel a bit heavy with built in battery and vrx smacked on the front.
I wanted to try the cobra x goggles but they stick out more than these.
