Moral Story For Kids in English | The Hungry Dogs | Animal & Jungle Story

One day, Gugu was walking around when it was completely bored as it had no friends and comes near a well.
It looks into the well and sees its own reflection.
It is overjoyed to see a look-alike of itself and is ready to jump into the well to meet someone who looks similar.
But a cat who sees this comes and pulls Gugu from behind.
On learning what was happening, the cat decides to tell a story to Gugu."

One bright sunny afternoon, two dogs were playing with a ball
As it was quite hot, after playing for a while they started feeling hungry but continued to play.
After a while, one dog notices a strange sound and asks the other if he too heard it.
Initially, the other dog says that it has not heard any such sound but when asked for a second time, confesses that it is coming from its growling stomach due to hunger.
While they were still saying so, and continuing to play, the ball falls into a pond nearby.
One dog gets angry and yells saying, "See, what you have done"! The other dog asks it to remain calm while it goes and fetches the ball.
When this dog goes near the pool and bends down to look into the pond, it sees a bone under the water.
In all its excitement, it calls the other dog also and shows the bone to the dog.
The other dog is happy too as they both were hungry but wonders how to take the bone out of the water. After thinking for some time, they decide that they can start drinking the water and once the water is empty, they can reach the bone.
So both the dogs leap and drink as much as they can.
After drinking for some time, both of them get tired of drinking that much of water.
One dog tells another not to ask him to drink anymore as it is already full.
The other dog also is tired by then and apologizes saying it thought that this would be the way out but it doesn't look like it is helping much.
While they had thought it would be a fast and easy task, it did not yield the expected results.

Gugu realizes what a mistake it would have done and how it would have lost its life. It thanks the horse for its timely help and remembers for the rest of its life how it is important to look before you leap.
