MISTLE THRUSH with MOUSTACHE - Turdus viscivorus

This short video shows an adult Mistle Thrush with so much fine grass gathered for lining its nest that it appears to have a bushy moustache.
I'd observed this Mistle Thrush foraging for moss and then disappearing into a line of trees and a short while later, I could see the classic Mistle Thrush nest built against a trunk and a forked branch with twigs and odd lengths of plastic bag and leaves etc. The moss and mud were used to hold and bind or glue the straw platform and shape together and help weatherproof it, before the finer straw and dry grasses lining for the eggs and chicks.
The male is fearless and will defend its territory and nest against potential predators, sometimes including humans or dogs and cats.
