WHAT BIBLICAL BOOK DO YOU WANT NEXT?

Book of Haggai:
After the destruction of the Temple and the Babylonian conquest of Israel, Haggai urges the reunited Israelites to rebuild the second Jerusalem temple (Hag 1:1–11). Haggai encourages Israel to be of good spirits despite that this Temple would not be quite as extravagant nor as richly decorated as Solomon's. The people listen to Haggai (Hag 1:12–15).

God responds with encouragement and blessings: “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house. And in this place I will grant peace, declares the LORD Almighty." (Hag 2:9)

Haggai is the first prophet, after 10 Minor Prophets preceding him, to lead Israel after their return from exile.
