SUPER Crispy Chicken Wing Recipe #chickenwings
NO CORNSTARCH baking powder SUPER crispy chicken wings recipe below!👇
I substituted cassava starch baking powder from @ottosnaturals in this recipe because we’re trying to limit corn products and regular baking soda uses cornstarch, so is both an #AIP and #paleo recipe and completely grain free. Also, always make sure your baking soda has NO aluminum! ☠️ 👎
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tbsp baking powder (cassava or regular)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Directions:
- Pat dry chicken wings and season with all ingredients listed above.
- Preheat your air fryer on 390°F for about 3-4 minutes and then add your chicken wings and fry for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cook in batches if you have a smaller air fryer so they’re not overcrowded and be sure to flip them around every five minutes.
- Chicken wings are done when they reach 165°F but I like to take mine a bit further to around 180°F so that they get extra crispy. For a dark fatty piece like the wings or thighs, you will not sacrifice juiciness by taking them this extra 15° but you will get that extra crispy skin.
- Toss them in your favorite wing sauce if you want or eat them dry with a sprinkle of salt!
