Trump is ‘holding the fort against a merciless campaign to wipe out history': Jones

Sky News host Alan Jones says President Trump is holding the fort against a merciless campaign to “wipe out our history … and indoctrinate out children”.

Mr Jones said President Trump’s “two most important recent speeches were last month at a conference on US history at Washington's National Archives when he argued correctly ‘the left-wing rioting and mayhem are the direct result of decades of left-wing indoctrination in our schools’”.

“He was right when he said that schools and universities were teaching, ‘young Americans that America was a wicked and racist Nation’,” Mr Jones said.

“Trump spoke for the world at Mount Rushmore on July 4 when he spoke of, there as here, ‘a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values and indoctrinate our children’.

“I have said before, that is the language of a leader,” Mr Jones added.

“And that is why this election is not just about America.”

Mr Jones said the President rightly argued, “there is a new far-left fascism that demands absolute allegiance… if you do not follow its demands... you will be censured and punished”.

“That is not going to happen to us,” President Trump said.

"We will not be tyrannised. We will never surrender the spirit of July 4, 1776."

Commenting on these statement, Mr Jones said, “well look out, because the left are coming”.

“In fact, without Trump, they are already here,” he said.

“Trump is holding the fort against those who want to teach our youngsters that we are a wicked and racist nation.

“Trump is holding the fort against, as he describes it, ’a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values and indoctrinate our children’.”
