The Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met) has an amazing museum in Fort Tyron Park in Washington Heights, Manhattan. It is often referred to as The Cloisters or Met Cloisters. It is approximately 4 acres, it overlooks the Hudson River and was designed by Charles Collens. It opened in 1938 and houses three medieval chapels including the 12-century Spanish Fuentiduena Chapel.

Are the Cloisters Free?
Like the Met, New York State residents can pay what they wish to enter. For everyone else, tickets cost $25 for adults, $17 for seniors, and $12 for students. Children under 12 enter for free.

How long does it take to see the Met Cloisters?
It takes about 4 hours. The museum holds more than 5,000 pieces of European art dating from 800 to 1600 CE with the 12th through 15th centuries being strongly represented.

Can you get married at the Met cloisters?
It's a beautiful place to host a wedding, either inside or outside the courtyard or the amphitheater. The rental period includes up to five hours for the event. Even better, you can also host a birthday party if you really like art.
