Eggrolls 1
Ingredients used to make egg rolls
2 lbs bean sprouts
3 tbsp soy sauce or oyster sauce or hoisin sauce
2 bunches scallions
3/4 cup chopped celery
2 tbsp peanut butter.
meat is optional but add chicken beef pork or ham about 1 cup
.
in large pan put the all but the bean sprouts and heat until the peanut butter melts down and celery is softened.
add bean sprouts and mix then cover until the bean sprouts are a bit limp but still crunchy.
This takes 15 min. with the lid on and the heat off.
then roll the egg rolls into shape and fry at 375 heated canola oil.
put them on a rack to cool.
to reheat them you can fry them again for 5 min or put them in the oven or microwave.
this is a low carb treat if you don't eat them as the entire meal. the fiber helps counteract the carbs as well.
