I’ve lived a lot of my life trapped in my own head. I would get my feelings hurt and just sit there in pain and not tell anyone for years and years. The things I’ve kept inside are still following me and affecting me today and I have to work on talking about it and getting it out. Keeping things bottled up is so damaging to myself and the people around me. It’s not healthy! I deserve to be free and the people I love deserve a chance to fix things. It’s not fair to be mad at someone for something they didn’t even know affected you. You have to give people a chance to right their wrongs and you have to give yourself a chance to be free.
I wrote Stand Up last summer when I realized I needed to change my ways but honestly it applies to so many situations going on in the world right now. I hope it can help you guys feel strong enough to speak up when you need to! It has helped me so many times when I needed bravery and courage.

I’m so glad Parker sent me this track last July and trusted me with his art! I wrote this so fast because it was so easy to create over his amazing music.
