Lengthening Interislander's Aratere Ferry
KiwiRail is delighted that Interislander's Cook Strait ferry Aratere has returned home from Singapore, a bigger and better ship.
Aratere had a new 30-metre mid-body installed, along with a new bow, new stern profile, new propellors, and a new interior, as part of a multi-million dollar extension and refurbishment project carried out at the Sembawang shipyards in Singapore.
